Robert H. Thomas, MD
Dr. Thomas is a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta
Kappa graduate of the University of Miami where he also received
his medical degree in 1991 with honors. His knowledge of Internal
Medicine was evident as he attained scores in the top 1 % in the
National Board of Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine
certification examinations. His exceptional skills as a resident
led to his selection as Chief Medical Resident at Jackson Memorial
Hospital in 1994.
Dr. Thomas was elected a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians in 1999. He is a former full-time faculty
physician at the University of Miami and continues to be Assistant
Professor of Medicine, Voluntary Faculty. He has lectured to physicians
at CME presentations locally and nationally and authored a comprehensive
review of blood coagulation that was published in a highly respected
medical journal in November 2001. Dr. Thomas' area of expertise
is General Internal Medicine with a special interest in cardiovascular
disease and hypertension, preventive medicine and blood coagulation
disorders. He was born and raised in Miami, and is fluent
in English and Spanish.
